Grade 8 completed a formal assessment of their technology skills to start off the year.  We will assess our skills again in May!

We will use the internet to research our topic and then create a newscast using Windows Movie Maker!

You will be learning how to use Google sites to create a web site.  Your web site will consist of several pages so when you choose your topic you must be able to break the topic into sections that will be on different pages.  We will discuss this in class.  To keep with your curriculum, the following are the topics you may choose from:

Famous People of the Civil War
Civil War Battles
Civil War Women
Roles of Women in the Civil War
Civil War Medicine
Civil War Recipes
Battle Ships of the Civil War
Artillery of the Civil War
Civil War Uniforms
(if you are doing research for some other topic in class, I may approve that topic if it works for building your web page as well, but you must discuss it with me for approval)

You must be able to tell the significance of your topic, any conditions that are relevant to your topic, and identify outcomes and impact of your chosen topic.

*Remember - You must keep track of your sites as you research for information, pictures, videos, etc. as they will need to be noted on your web site.
